For the Zoomies BLUF

Hey, what's up, fellow Zoomies! I'm C2C Andrew Cormier, the host of the "For the Zoomies" podcast, and if you want to stay connected with the USAFA community, you’re in the right place. I’ll do my best to show off what the alumni of the best Service Academy are up to!

Upcoming Episode

  • Equity research analyst Kristov George ‘16 explains his transition from being a developmental engineer to the finance world after attending Harvard Business School

I thought I had perspective going into [HBS], but just being in the room with people from these countries…we’d have a case about Argentina and Argentinian students would say “when this happened, my family had to do this.” All these things seemed so far away, but now you see it up close…

Finals Traditions

If you’re in the cadet area during finals week, it’s likely that you’ll see cadets walking around sopping wet. This is not from stress-induced sweating, but rather the long-held tradition of jumping into the fountain within the Air Gardens after completing their last academic duty. For the lucky few who have no finals, some firsties jump in after their last class at the Academy. For the rest of the cadets (non-management majors), they’ll have to wait until they finish their final exams the next week. This triumph acts a celebration for beating the dean for the eight consecutive semester.

OPINION - Nothing too controversial on this tradition, I figured I’d keep it light hearted because of how relieved I am for the semester to be over. I still have one more year up on the hill so wish me luck!
